I'm finished with my screenplay!

And it only took...what, almost a year since its conception?

Haha, I really fail. It's only 34 pages after all, which translates to about 40 minutes. So it's a short film. But I won't call it a short film, because that sounds just about as pretentious as "my screenplay." And I hate pretension, even though it's fun to abuse in oral presentations for school.

But I digress.

So, the movie is about a nocturnal world designed by the government in an attempt to avoid the effects of global warming. Since then, the United States has not been the most stable place as its citizens have tried to adjust to the night life. Not all people conformed to these new laws, and the ones who decided to continue their sunlit lives became pacifist anarchists. Fast-foward ten years since this occurred and we have our story's beginning. Those anarchists have mainly faded into rumors and people call them "ghosts" because of the white clothes they wear. (White because clothes that color reflect the sunlight, and the UV rays are extraordinarily dangerous.) Our main character accidently happens upon the ghosts. She and her friend take it upon themselves to find the ghosts again out of their own curiousity. In the midst of things, society is threatening to fall to pieces and they and everyone around them are taking drastic measures.

So that's the jist of it. I plan on editing the ending just to make it less sudden, but it's basically finished. Unfortunately, the hardest part is next: actors and equipment.

But I'll take care of that later. Right now I want to go slack off in my mind corner.
